The Rapture….. Then what? |

As you might imagine, when
millions of people simply disappear from the earth, there will be immediate
pandemonium. World leaders will begin
offering explanations for what has occurred.
Their explanations may include everything from aliens to secret enemy
weaponry. I believe that one leader
will rise to the top: possibly because of his explanation for the
disappearances: possibly because of his perceived compassion and
level-headedness. Regardless, one will
rise (the one we know as the antichrist), and will quickly begin the
execution of his end-times plan. The following is a
chronological list of what I believe will happen after the rapture in the
period we call the Great Tribulation. · The antichrist will set up a revived Roman Empire by
forming a league of 10 nations. Three
nations will be forced or coerced in to the confederacy; the 7 others will
submit willingly. · The antichrist will facilitate a 7-year treaty that
will promise peace to Israel. This
treaty may be, in fact, what escalates him into his role as world leader. · The world will experience a period of peace, but before
the 7-year period is halfway through, some nations will rise up against the
antichrist and a great war will result.
The antichrist will handily win this war. · At the halfway point of the 7-year period, probably as
a result of nuclear war, a great famine will come. Some say only one tenth of the world’s
normal food supply will be available. · Next, one quarter of the earth’s population will die:
many probably from starvation, many from nuclear fallout, and many will be
exterminated by the antichrist in response to their opposition. · Russia and a league of Arab nations (principally Iran)
will launch an attack against Israel.
Israel had been under protection of the 7-year treaty, but that is now
broken. God will intervene on Israel’s behalf to the
point that they will not even have to fight.
God will supernaturally defeat Israel’s enemies. · A false prophet will arise, and with the use of great
miracles, will set up the antichrist to be worshipped as “God”. This duo will move their headquarters to
Jerusalem. The antichrist, through the
power of Satan, will further his position of deity by miraculously rising
from a fatal head injury. · The antichrist will require that all people bow to him,
taking the “mark of the beast” as evidence of the allegiance. Those who refuse will be executed. · A massive worldwide earthquake will occur after which
will begin the outpouring of God’s judgments upon the earth. These times will be so awful that the Bible
says, “Except those days be shortened, there should be no flesh saved.” (Mathew 24:22) |
